How Long is it Safe to Leave Your Pet in the Car?

The answer is that it is NEVER safe to leave your pet in the car while it is not running or attended. Check out this graphic below and see how quick temperatures rise to unsafe levels for humans or pets.  This is one of the Galezano dogs and his name is Chase!  He loves to go for car rides to places like Pet Smart, the park, and yes Chase even loves the vet.  He knows when he goes to the vet, that all of the technicians will give him plenty of treats.  Chase even trained them to get him a cookie before taking him to the back room to get his temperature taken!!  He's a smart dog.  Chase is so smart that he knows that he can't come along with the family when we are going certain public places.  It's just safer to leave him home.  Florida temperatures rise quickly and leaving a dog in a hot car is a recipe for disaster.  Please think about your pet's safety when bringing them places.  If they are not welcome indoors, they should be left in the comfort of their own home where they are safe and secure.  Keep your pets stress free, happy, and safe!
